Our family tried it a week ago. It was absolutely horrible! I don't usually write comments on-line, but felt that I had to let people know not to waste their money there. Go to Frida's or Mexican Fiesta instead. Even Taco Bell is better! This place will be gone in a month.

It is sad to watch what continues to be the destruction of the high reputation Dearborn had for many, many years. As a third generation of a Dearborn family, I am sorry to say I am the last of my family to remain here and that is only because I can't afford to take the loss on my home, which is underwater.
Dearborn was once the envy of all the suburbs. We had excellent schools, nice shopping areas, neighborhood pools, low taxes, outstanding services, low crime rate, Camp Dearborn and Dearborn Towers. Even if you didn't live in Dearborn Towers, it was nice to know you had the option if someday you chose to do so. It was a nice asset that didn't cost the city any taxpayers dollars.
What is left to attract people to move here? Nothing, absolutely nothing unless you want to live in the same neighborhood as your other mideastern immigrants. I am tired of hearing how diverse our city is when in actuallity Dearborn has become known as the Arab city and that is the real reason poeople don't want to move here. Take off the blinders city hall.
Do something for the residents instead of thinking of new ways to attract businesses that aren't interested in the Dearborn market anyway. The new train station, a convention center, new city hall? What will that do for residents? Personally, I believe if you maintained what we have we would be better off.
I know there are no clear cut answers and we are a victim of the bad economy like other cities but come on do something! Better yet, step aside and let others take over that may have some better ideas on what to do with our decaying city. This Mayor and council have proven they can't do it. It's time for a change. NOW!

Does Foren know where he is at or who he is endorsing? Wygonik better get some up to date people, whose endorsement means something. Wygonik appears to be a nice guy, so he should run on his own credentials, because I hear the sniping thats going on already.

Might be the right time for Sam to slip in. If he can get the Arab voters to show up to vote for him he should be able to slide on by with Candy Abbot taking some of Wygonik's base away from him. Will she be rewarded with a magistrate position by Salamey and make a run for his seat when Salamey tries for a seat at the County table in 6 years?

Abbatt or Salamey you can't go wrong either way, just stay away from Somers' former buddy Wygonik. Wygonik isn't a bad guy but watch out -- we need an infusion of new blood. Don't forget what was said about a certain ethnic group in the Heights by Mr. & Mrs. Wygonik a while ago, because we haven't.

This guy's been retired for about a hundred years. Neither Turfie or Plazinski who replaced him endorsed him. He's never even lived here. This just shows how badly we need to clean house starting at the top down when Hubbard era politicians are still trying to call the shots.

That endorsement means nothing, as we know how he operated while in Dearborn Hts. The Big Guy knows what he is doing on this topic, and he intends to show the former Judge Foran how wrong he is. Don't feel that thisendorsement is big for you, because if you do, you will simply be a former District Judge.

I guess Goodwill is a sign of the times more than anything. No, Dearborn "is no Royal Oak or Birmingham" and that's what I liked about it (and it's people). Before purchasing a home, I thoroughly checked out those areas as well as Dearborn. I settled on Dearborn. I don't know how the home inspection process is these days but our "friends" in Oakland Co. didn't even have a process for that. They have homes for sale with beer buddy roof jobs (with gaps for the sun to shine through), no garbage disposals, busted up driveways and garages ready to tumble. You see, I knew many people up there and "those people" didn't care about that kinda stuff as long as the stainless steel appliances where already installed for them , they were content. Dearborn wasn't trendy, no fly by night sheeple stores. It was reliable, consistent, traditional and stable. Now, it became bad enough that some of us had to start driving to Oakland County to purchase clothes. The brand of quality white dress shirts I bought at Fairlane for decades were no longer available. I didn't really care to buy a purple suit with polka dot accessories at Mens Warehouse. A co-worker in Dearborn Hills was fed-up when she had to drive to another county to purchase a proper shirt for her son to wear to his graduation too.

We put up with above and just accepted it. The two identical grocery stores across the street was ridiculous. An extra one was needed for the Detroit/Inkster pass through traffic though (along with the 30 dry cleaners within a square mile on the west end). Marshalls knew their target market on the West end too and it was the same "pass through" traffic. For men, there was too much Roc-a-wear and Pelle' Pelle' for my tastes. I lived near it. You could tell when the employees got wind of a "good shipment" coming in because that parking lot was jammed with Escalades, etc. Full!

Again, the above was bad enough but I/we still loved our homes, neighborhoods and neighbors BUT, if I were still there and all Dearborn could bring in for us was Goodwill, I'd be packing my bags for sure.
